Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], June 10: In a meaningful initiative combining fitness with environmental responsibility, GreenFit Foundation and Aravalli Foundation jointly organized a Plog Run at the iconic Hawa Mahal, Jaipur. The event saw enthusiastic participation from more than 30 members of both foundations, who jogged through the historic surroundings of Hawa Mahal, collecting waste along the route and spreading a powerful message of cleanliness and environmental conservation among the citizens of Jaipur.

Plogging — the activity of picking up litter while jogging — has been gaining momentum across India as a community-driven movement that blends personal fitness with civic responsibility. Today’s event at one of Jaipur’s most celebrated heritage landmarks served as a compelling reminder that taking care of our health and taking care of our environment can go hand in hand.

Virendra Singh, Founder of GreenFit Foundation, and Rahul Choudhry, Founder of Aravalli Foundation, led from the front by actively participating in the campaign themselves. On this occasion, both founders urged citizens to reduce the use of single-use plastic, keep their surroundings clean, and contribute towards building a clean and green future for the coming generations. They emphasized that small collective actions taken today can bring transformative change to our cities tomorrow.

GreenFit Marathon Season 3 was also promoted at the event, which is scheduled to be held on September 27, 2026. With the pledge of “Run for a Greener Earth,” the goal is to bring together 10,000 runners this year — making it the biggest and most impactful edition of the marathon yet.

This initiative, organized on the occasion of World Environment Day, aimed to inspire people to adopt fitness as a lifestyle while also staying conscious of their responsibility towards the environment. Both foundations reaffirmed their commitment to continuing such grassroots campaigns for a cleaner, greener Jaipur
